He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives

Words of Encouragement

It takes intelligence to place your life into the hands of the One who designed you and knows your first breath to your last. If this is true, then there's not too many intelligent people out there, are there? There is so many more people who all want to do their own thinking and do their own thing, and then wonder why things didn't turn out. Or why history seems to repeat itself. Or why, they are at the bottom of the pit in life again, again and again.

What's up with this???

Am I throwing rocks? Not at all. I used to be an "I'm in control of my life" person too. It's so easy to fall into the trap of "self assurance" instead of "God's assurance." Actually, I should say "insurance" on both accounts. If you are "self insured" you are limited. If you are "God insured", then there is no limit to what He can do for you. God is not limited.

Let's start out with, breathing. God created that, so He is in charge of that. You didn't and you aren't.

God created the earth, so He's in charge of that. You didn't and you aren't.

Remember the story about Jesus and His disciples out on the rough sea? His disciples feared for their lives, but Jesus Christ simply raised his arms and calmed the sea. He can do that, you can't. So fear, in many situations abounds in your life if you are in charge of situations you cannot control. But by placing your life into the One who can calm life's seas of torment, you will have no fear.

God knows every episode of your life's journey, you don't. So why do you trust in you when it comes to leading life the way you want to lead it? Do you know tomorrow? No. Does God? Yes. So why are you trusting in a future that you have no control over, instead of trusting in the One God who does hold the future?

Things to think on. Don't feel bad. Some of the world's genius's still don't get it. All the high IQ's in the world do not know the beginning from the end, or have all the answers to life, but God does. So it does take intelligence to give your life over to the One God who created you, and guess what, there are many people who couldn't pass man's invented IQ test that have given their lives to Christ. The Word of God says; Psalm 37:11 - The meek shall inherit the land, and in Matthew 5:5 - Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.

The Word doesn't say that the rich or higher IQ will. It says the "meek." There are a whole lot more "meek" people in this world, and the numbers are growing by the day as the rich seem to be growing in power. Guess what. The Word also has something to say about that...

Proverbs 22:16 - He who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth and he who give gifts to the rich - both eventually come to poverty.

Proverbs 14:31 - He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.

I could go on, but I'm not speaking from the pulpit, this is only a taste of God called a daily inspirational.

Enjoy, and seek His word further. There is so much more to this devotional than what I have written here for you. As God leads me, may I pass on His gift of wisdom to you.
