Darkness deep down inside

eating away

attacking your mind

noises always

never stop

bad, wicked girls

Always dirty

never clean.

Some say there is hope

from the one in the light

He will give you choices

then ask you to choose

to run from the darkness

to live in His light.

The way will be hard

but the truth will be found

the lies be replaced

as His truth filters in.

Its so hard to choose

when you just don't know how

but the friends that you trust

encourage you on

with their love and their prayers.

So we keep on the walk

to the One who will give

the freedom we seek.

We choose to go on

but the fight is so hard

we cry tears inside

and struggle each night

against darkness that covers

and fills us with fear

But we will choose life

with the One who gave us

the hope in the darkness

and love in the light

He will be the father

of all who we are

and He will stay with us

because we are His

one day I will believe

that HE really loves me

as I make the right choice

to trust Him always.

so I ask my best friends

to forgive all I am

and to know that their love

keeps me from running

to the one in the dark and show me

the love of the One in the light.
