Cheryl Knight

Cheryl coordinates the development of
new project ideas in accordance to the needs of the target population.
She is responsible for incoming telephone calls, correspondence,
updating the web site, book sales and marketing. She also develops
and presents at seminars and conferences. She recently wrote Surviving In
Sanity, a book about spiritual warfare, and is currently working on a
book about community life. Cheryl has co-authored two other books
with Jo Getzinger on survivor topics. Cheryl has over 15 years
experience in trauma recovery work.

Jo Getzinger
Vice President and Staff Member
With over 15 years in the field of
trauma recovery, Jo oversees and provides intensive counseling to the
severely wounded. She develops and coordinates conferences that C.A.R.E., Inc. sponsors to educate
communities about ritual abuse and other severe abuse issues. She
responds to clinical questions from therapists, survivors, pastors, etc.
She develops, oversees
and is responsible for the clinical aspects of all C.A.R.E. programs. She presents at seminars and conferences,
including the THRIVE conference.

Alice Moody, Psy.D.
Secretary
Alice is a Christian therapist in
Portland, Oregon. She works
primarily in the areas of trauma recovery and personality disorders. She is a very
experienced, mature therapist who understands the depth of the trauma we
see at CARE, Inc. She is a wonderful addition to our board.

Dick and Fran Hostetler
Dick and Fran are from Fort Wayne,
Indiana. They started a non-profit ministry called Thriving Life
Ministries. Dick is an ordained pastor who is very involved in the THRIVE
principles of healing and maturing. He and Fran present seminars nationally
and internationally. Both Dick and Fran have participated in all of the
THRIVE conferences and more recently Dick presented at 5th Annual Conference
in Big Rapids. Dick has worked for years with trauma survivors, and he and
Fran bring a fresh understanding of building a non-profit organization.
They are a real asset to our board.

Doug and Mary Herrema
Doug and Mary are long time residents of
Grand Rapids, Michigan. Doug and Mary started their own
non-profit ministry called Rhema House using Theophostic principles for
healing survivors of trauma. They are also involved in assisting the
Healing Tree Ministry in Grand Rapids which also ministers to survivors
of trauma. Doug is an ordained minister who also is an independent
business owner. He has served on two church boards and led prison
ministries. Both Doug and Mary have a heart for survivors and their
issues. Both have participated in THRIVE conferences. They bring an
understanding of trauma survivors and working in a non-profit
organization to C.A.R.E.

Julia Bond
Julie comes to our board from Kokomo,
Indiana where she has been an elementary school teacher
for 35 years. She has volunteered for CARE since 1999, helping
with the websites for C.A.R.E. and CARE Packaging. More recently
she has helped in the C.A.R.E. and CARE Packaging offices. She has
participated in two THRIVE conferences.

review our fiscal status and responsibilities as well as our personal
progress with community leaders.
